My Name is Justin Fitzpatrick

Learning is more than just starting development, it's a lifestyle.

Hi! I'm Justin Fitzpatrick, a game programmer and designer from The United States, and I've been making games since I was 12. I studied game development under Vertex Schools and went to school for an associates in Software Development. Here you can see some of the projects I've had the opportunity of contributing to, and some of the personal-fun-things I've been working on. I have a strong perseverance for learning new things and taking on challenges, and I always like to put some extra time in polishing my creations, to make sure the creative vision is achieved in the best possible way. I've always been extremely curious in the technical side of games.

In the process of growing up, at a young age my closest friend went blind which has brought more interest to my life in Accessibility development; various games we would try to play together but there was always an advantage on my end due to his lack of sight. This project was created in Unreal Engine using Audio Voice Over technology to allow non-sighted persons the ability to play the card game Flesh and Blood using various hotkeys and API integreations from the FleshAndBlood website.

Fiddles tale is one of my first projects in Unity exploring platforming aspects and trying to understand physics, animation interactions in a full 360 degree explorable space.

Zelda and other Role Playing Games alike have always been a past time for me and this game is developed with those games in mind, a dungeon crawler with several unique items that will help you solve puzzles throughout your journey. While developing this game I worked with AI behavior trees, Environmental Design and Sequencers, as well as learning how to more efficiently create and use assets using tools such as Adobe Mixamo with custom models.

Steelbound is one of my first projects in Unreal Engine where I explored level streaming, User Interface, AI, Blueprints and Materials while really trying to achieve a larger world.
